While you were opening presents this past weekend, a listing for an unannounced Chromebook made by Asus went up on Newegg. But it appears the product page, which was spotted by Chrome Unboxed, was put up prematurely, as the listing is no longer available.

That brief appearance, however, has provided us with all we need to know about the upcoming device, dubbed ASUS C302CA.

According to the listing, the device will sport a 12.5-inch, 1080p touch screen that can flip around and a 2.2GHz Intel Core m3 processor. It also sports two USB-C ports, a microSD slot, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.

And the price is…

With support for Android apps, Chromebooks are quickly becoming a solid choice as first-time computers. They have already found a niche in education. Now, it’s just a matter of finding a wider audience.

Based on the listing, the C302CA sounds like a solid device. According to the SKU that appeared on Newegg’s website, the device will retail for $499; it’s unclear if other configurations will be offered.

With CES around the corner, chances are we’ll learn more information about the device soon.
