by Roy Choi | January 6, 2017

D-Link announced the Omna 180 Cam HD, the first Apple HomeKit enabled camera. The Omna 180 Cam HD displays a 180-degree Full HD 1080p video.

Thanks to HomeKit, users can get started in seconds. iOS notifications should get users excited, where it will display rich notifications and give a glimpse of what’s happening at home or the office. When the Omna 180 Cam HD senses movement at home, you’ll get a notification on your iPhone or iPad with a preview of what’s happening.

The dynamic video streaming feature adjusts the bitrate to maintain a video stream based on bandwidth. It also features two-way radio, night vision and local video recording on microSDXC cards eliminating the need to pay for monthly fees.

How much, and when can I get it?

Pricing has not been announced but you should be able to pick one up shortly. If you’re looking for a high-resolution security camera without the pricey monthly subscription plan, you might want to check out the D-Link Omna 180 Cam HD.
