PlayStation Vue adds multi-view option

by Brandon Russell | March 7, 2017

With March Madness set to begin next week, Sony has added a timely new feature to PlayStation Vue.

Available now, PlayStation Vue subscribers watching on a PlayStation 4 can view up to three live channels at once. (The picture below demonstrates how the new feature looks in action). Now, you no longer have to bust out your phone, laptop and tablet just to keep up with the latest action.

While the feature is aimed primarily at sports fanatics, Sony says Vue subscribers can watch any channel available on Vue in multi-view mode. It’s a nice feature to have if you can’t decide between sports, news, and The Bachelor.

The main channel that appears on-screen is the one you’ll hear audio from; the other two will play silently to the side. Sony says Vue users can select up to three channels at once though there’s an option to view just two channels as well.

Sports fans will love it

Multi-view is available on the PlayStation 4 now, with support for other platforms likely to come soon, including the Apple TV, Roku, Android TV, and more.
