The $700 mystery unboxing!

by Danny Zepeda | January 19, 2017

Intel recently shipped us a mystery box, so we decided to dig in and find out what’s inside!

In case you haven’t noticed, Intel has been rocking it in the computer chip business. The company’s processors are the highlight of some of the most powerful computers on the market. They’re also a great option if you’re looking to build your your own rig. Intel’s latest offering, the 7th gen Intel Core i7 7700K chip, is one of the most exciting new entrants to the market, and we were lucky enough to find one hiding in the box above. The Kaby Lake chip is designed for 28-percent faster performance than its predecessor, the 6th gen Sky Lake processor. The newest version is more of an iterative improvement than its predecessors and is more power efficient.

Intel also sent its 1TB 6p Series SSD. It’s built on Intel’s 3D NAND technology and features a PCIe 3×4 interface, and you can peep that in the video above, too.
